Dominique Hurth is an artist and researcher based in Berlin.
In her studio practice, involving installation, drawings and motion pictures, she investigates shifting territories and translated languages. Through both theoretical and studio practices she has been focusing on memory and its mechanisms: she creates an on-going archives of lost or found artefacts (photography, objects, films, documents) involving both fictional and autobiographical narratives, often in parallel to historical realities.
In recent years, she has also been involved in various interdisciplinary projects, working as an artistic researcher on the conceptualisation of historical exhibitions, in situations involving interaction towards the audience in public space, or in contexts of mediation within different community groups.
